Evensong

He rests in deep stillness, eyes closed, his crown of natural afro hair rising like a halo against a teal painted sky flecked with light. A gold hoop catches the warmth from the singing bowl below, where copper tones bloom around his shoulders. The colors meeting in thick painterly strokes that feel both ancient and present. The mood is sacred, quiet, devotional, a portrait of a man tuned to his own frequency.
